This week’s episode kicks off a brand new season of the Catchin’ Up Podcast — and we’re starting strong. The boys are back with some much-needed laughs, real talk, and a little taste-testing chaos.
First up, Gabe and Tyler try Chick-fil-A’s new Cherry Berry Sprite (spoiler: opinions are divided) and the new Pretzel Bun Chicken Sandwich, which might just be a top contender for best fast-food sandwich. From there, they dive into a deeper conversation on the question of the day: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?
The two reflect on time, growth, and what they wish they knew back in high school — plus how their faith has shaped their perspective today. They wrap up by reacting to Kai Cenat’s viral Nike story and the unexpected moment of grace between Forrest Frank and Cory Asbury.
It’s a mix of food reviews, faith reflections, and genuine laughs — the perfect way to start the new season.
Come hang out, share your favorite part, and as always… join the friend group by subscribing, commenting, and spreading the word.

This week, we put Starbucks' Iced Banana Cream Protein Matcha to the test, and it actually hits the mark. The foam tastes legit (not chalky), and one of us even calls it a 9.5/10 after mixing, maybe the best "sneaky protein" drink we've tried
From there, we get honest about how we respond when life doesn't go to plan-before faith vs. now, and why prayer beats spiraling, and how the small daily annoyances at work might be the real training ground for trust.
We wrap with the conversation around Forrest Frank sharing a conviction about skipping award shows and Jelly Roll's public comment-why convictions can be personal, why online pile-ons miss the point, and why grace › gotchas
Come hang, laugh, think a little, and tell us if you'd order that matcha again. - https://linktr.ee/catchinuppodcast? utm.source=linktree profile_share&ltsid=c965f642-7667-4ff7-b28e- 9edda861d5ad

It’s spooky season in the Vault — and this one’s packed with unexpected flavor twists, wild reviews, and a few late-night reflections.
We start with a taste test showdown: Trolli “Mountain Dew” gummies that definitely don’t taste like Mountain Dew (but blue still wins by a landslide), followed by the Reese’s x Oreo cups, which earn a unanimous 10/10 for being dangerously addictive. Then, we dive into a spoiler-light review of Netflix’s It’s What’s Inside — a tense, mind-bending body-swap thriller that sparks a real conversation about identity, temptation, and how easily power can change people.
Toward the end, things get reflective as we talk about what makes Halloween special beyond the candy — nostalgia, comfort, and that rare mix of fun and meaning you only get this time of year. It’s a perfect balance of cozy, creepy, and real talk.
Come hang, laugh, and join the friend group — and let us know: what’s your go-to Halloween candy, and would you actually use that machine?

We kick things off with a Zevia check-in and dive straight into Taco Bell’s latest creations — the Nacho Fries and Chicken Wraps. The fries hit with that movie-theater cheese nostalgia, earning a solid 10/10 with the dip. Then it’s the battle of Avocado Ranch vs. Diablo, and let’s just say Avocado Ranch takes the crown. We even tried dunking it in cheese (no regrets). It’s fast food honesty, fry rankings, and all the crunchy chaos you’d expect from us.
From food to faith — we shift gears into a conversation about comparison. Whether it’s watching others succeed online or feeling stuck in your own lane, we open up about how easy it is to measure your worth by someone else’s highlight reel. The truth? You’re not behind. God’s timing is personal. We talk gratitude, contentment, and why faith in action matters more than chasing validation.
To close things out, we get into AI deepfakes, Sora, and the wild world of digital realism. From Jake Paul promos to fake news clips, it’s funny now but gets real fast — we talk about how technology blurs lines and how to stay grounded when everything looks “too real.” It’s the perfect wrap-up of humor, awareness, and reflection.
It’s a mix of laughter, honesty, and deep talk — just another week catching up with the boys.

We’re back with a cozy morning episode, and we’re finally giving local coffee shops some love. Gabe pulls up with a full spread from The Salty Donut in Orlando – a Coquito latte, a Butterbeer donut, and the insane Honey Sea Salt Crackle that has Tyler low-key jealous through the screen. Tyler holds it down in LA with a miso butterscotch latte from Palm Grove Social and gives his honest take on the flavor vs. coffee balance.
From there, we shift into a deeper conversation: why it actually matters for Christians to be present in spaces that might look “worldly” from the outside. We talk about actors and artists like Matthew McConaughey, Christian artists collaborating with non-Christian artists, Lecrae catching heat for collabs, and what it really means to be in the world but not of it. Gabe shares stories about being the only Christian in certain friend groups, late-night heart-to-hearts, and learning when to step into “messy” places and when you need a stronger foundation first. Tyler opens up about his own journey from being hardened toward faith to finally saying yes to an invite to church, and how friendships and patience played a huge role in that.
If you’ve ever wondered whether Christians should be at parties, in Hollywood, in secular music, or dating someone who isn’t a believer yet, this episode is for you. We’re not here to hand out rulebooks… just to create a safe space to wrestle with real questions, talk about what’s helped us, and hopefully encourage you wherever you’re at.
Listen in, grab a coffee (bonus points if it’s from a local spot), and then let us know in the comments: Do you think Christians should be in “worldly” spaces, and why or why not?

This week we’re dipping back into the Vault for a full-on hangout episode: food, movies, and a little bit of chaos in between. Gabe finally cashes in on a solo food mission at K-Bob in Orlando, trying a wild strawberry boba cream chiller with a melting Korean popsicle, a Fruity Pebbles Korean corn dog (half cheese, half hot dog), and a galbi beef bowl that he swears is like the “elevated version” of mall Chinese food in the best way. Meanwhile, Tyler reps LA with a classic New York–style slice from ESCO’s Pizza in Mid-City… the spot he calls the best pizza he’s had in the city, with an owner he genuinely wants to put on.
After the food talk (and accidental mukbang energy), we switch into full movie-nerd mode. We tag-team a review of A24’s horror film Weapons, breaking down the way it blends horror and comedy, uses gore with purpose instead of shock value, and jumps between characters without losing the story. Then we each share our favorite movie of 2025 so far: Tyler goes in on why Caught Stealing is his top pick of the year (and his favorite Austin Butler performance), and Gabe talks about why the live-action How to Train Your Dragon finally feels like the kind of adaptation fans actually wanted. There’s even a quick shoutout to K-Pop Demon Hunters for being way better than expected.
This Vault episode is all about kicking back with us: good food, movie takes, and the feeling of just talking with friends about stuff you love. No heavy topics this time… just vibes, strong opinions on pizza and dragons, and a lot of “you gotta try this” energy.
Once you’re done listening, jump in the comments and let us know:What spot should we review next, and what’s your favorite movie of 2025 so far?

🍨 This week, Gabe and Tyler review Gelato Boy’s Tropical Mango Gelato — a surprisingly clean, flavorful 10/10 that kicks off the episode with chaos, hunger, and instant nostalgia.
🔥 Main Topic: Motivation When the Excitement FadesWe talk about what really happens once the newness wears off. Whether it’s the gym, faith, habits, or hobbies, that initial spark eventually disappears — and discipline has to take over.
We break down how to:• Stay consistent when progress slows• Switch up routines without losing purpose• Reconnect to your “why”• Push through mental ruts• Build habits that last beyond hype
If you’ve been feeling stuck, stagnant, or unmotivated, this episode will help you get back into rhythm.
💬 Question of the week:Are seasonal flavors actually good… or do we only love them because they’re seasonal?

Season 4 is winding down, and this episode of the Catchin’ Up Podcast covers a little bit of everything.
We kick things off with a review of Bucked Up’s clear protein, which has been taking over TikTok — zero sugar, no chalky taste, and somehow still packing 25g of protein. Genuinely surprising in the best way. If you want to check it out for yourself, here’s the link we used:👉 https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTHw9n8S79YMs-ppofv/
From there, the conversation shifts into a deeper question we asked ourselves midway through the episode… what are you still working on in your life right now? Gabe opens up about finding worth in what God thinks instead of other people’s opinions, while Tyler reflects on being more intentional about checking in on friends and showing up better for the people around him. We talk about growth, listening more than fixing, and why small moments of presence actually matter.
We wrap things up with a fun debate on movies — how long should films really stay in theaters before heading to streaming? Is a month enough? Does it depend on the movie? And are shorter theater windows actually inevitable?
From protein reviews to personal growth and movie debates, this episode captures what Catchin’ Up is all about.
If you’re not caught up… you’re catching up.

Season 4 comes to a close… and we’re ending it on a reflective, honest note. In the final episode of the season, we kick things off with a review of Chick-fil-A’s Peppermint Frosted Coffee and quickly realize it might be less “coffee” and more “holiday milkshake.” From there, the conversation deepens as we talk about the Bible not as a religious rulebook, but as a collection of stories filled with wisdom that anyone can take something from… regardless of where you’re at spiritually.
We break down why stories matter more than isolated quotes, how themes like compassion, forgiveness, insecurity, discipline, and purpose still apply today, and why ancient lessons somehow feel more relevant than ever in a social-media-driven world. We also touch on modern mental-health conversations, influencer culture, fame, money, and why having everything people dream of doesn’t automatically fix what’s going on internally.
This episode is equal parts thoughtful and real… a mix of faith-adjacent life advice, cultural commentary, and the kind of conversation you’d have with friends late at night when things slow down and honesty kicks in. Whether you’re here for the coffee reviews, the deeper conversations, or just to hang out with us one more time this season, we’re grateful you’re here.
